Una( Gagret )Posted: 1 week agoOpenings: 2Applicants: 50+Quality ManagerGoels Food World2.59 ReviewsJob description QUALITY MANAGER FOOD / POULTRY INDUSTRYPosition: Quality Manager Experience: 15+ Years Industry: Food / Poultry / Meat Processing / Food Manufacturing Employment Type: Full Time Location: Gagret, Una Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control Reporting To: Plant Head / General Manager / ManagementJOB SUMMARYWe are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Quality Manager with 15+ years of experience in the Food/Poultry Industry to lead the complete Quality Assurance and Quality Control function.The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, customer specifications and internal quality systems across procurement, production, processing, storage, dispatch and finished products.The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Poultry/Meat/Food Processing, HACCP, GMP, FSMS, FSSAI compliance, laboratory operations, audits, quality documentation and team management.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Quality Assurance & Quality ControlLead the overall QA/QC function for the plant.Establish, implement and monitor quality standards and SOPs.Ensure quality compliance at all stages from raw material receipt to finished-product dispatch.Monitor critical quality parameters and ensure corrective/preventive actions.Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection procedures and testing protocols.Investigate quality deviations, complaints and non-conformities and implement effective CAPA.2. Food Safety & ComplianceImplement and maintain HACCP, GMP, GHP, SSOP and Food Safety Management Systems.Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI regulations and food safety requirements.Maintain food safety documentation, records and traceability systems.Monitor hygiene, sanitation, pest control, personnel hygiene and plant conditions.Conduct regular food safety risk assessments and recommend preventive measures.3. Poultry / Meat Processing QualityMonitor quality of live birds/raw poultry, ingredients, packaging materials and other inputs.Establish specifications for incoming raw materials and finished products.Monitor processing parameters, product handling, chilling/freezing, storage and dispatch conditions.Ensure cold-chain and temperature-control compliance.Monitor microbiological and chemical quality parameters wherever applicable.Ensure product traceability and effective recall procedures.4. Laboratory & TestingSupervise the quality laboratory and testing activities.Define sampling plans and testing frequencies.Coordinate microbiological, chemical and physical testing through internal/external laboratories.Review test reports and take appropriate action on deviations.Ensure calibration and verification of laboratory and quality-control equipment.5. Audits & CertificationsLead internal, external and customer audits.Coordinate statutory and regulatory inspections.Prepare the organization for certification and surveillance audits.Ensure timely closure of audit observations and non-conformities.Maintain audit-related documentation and compliance records.6. Supplier & Vendor QualityDevelop and monitor supplier quality standards.Evaluate and approve suppliers based on quality and food-safety requirements.Conduct supplier audits where required.Monitor incoming material quality and supplier performance.Work with procurement and suppliers to resolve recurring quality issues.7. Customer ComplaintsLead investigation of customer complaints.Conduct root-cause analysis using appropriate problem-solving techniques.Implement corrective and preventive actions.Track complaint trends and develop preventive measures to reduce recurrence.8.
