Responsible for managing the machine shop, ensuring tools, jigs, fixtures, and machining processes meet production requirements with high accuracy and minimal downtime. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, planning, and coordination across departments. Create and implement machining process plans and production schedules. Ensure high accuracy in machining jobs and reduce rework/rejection. Oversee fabrication, repair, sharpening, and calibration of tools. Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and parts. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Supervise machinists, fitters, and technicians. Provide training, guidance, and performance management. Build a high-performing team and ensure adherence to safety standards.
