Pre-Formulation & Product DevelopmentConduct pre-formulation studies for APIs and excipients, including:Solubility and pKaParticle size and morphologyBulk/tapped densityFlow propertiesCompressibilityPolymorphism/solid-state characteristicsDrug–excipient compatibilityEvaluate API characteristics and identify formulation challenges.Select appropriate excipients based on functionality, compatibility, product performance, and regulatory requirements.Develop formulation prototypes based on the QTPP and target product profile.Develop and optimize immediate-release and, where applicable, modified-release OSD formulations.2.
