Job description
Review patient medical records and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes. Apply CPT, ICD-9-CM, HCPCS, and other coding guidelines. Associate diagnosis codes with appropriate CPT codes for accurate reimbursement. Verify chart count and maintain daily/monthly MIS reports. Perform quality checks and monitor coding accuracy.
