VaranasiPosted: 3 weeks agoOpenings: 1Applicants: 100+General Manager OperationsNirvana River Cruises LlpJob description Role & ResponsibilitiesNirvana River Cruises LLP is looking for an experienced General Manager Operations to lead and manage its premium river cruise and hospitality operations in Varanasi.The GM will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day functioning of the company’s cruise, hospitality and guest-service operations, with direct responsibility for service standards, staff performance, operational discipline and cost control.Key responsibilities include:Oversee the day-to-day operations of MV Raghuvansh, including guest services, dining, housekeeping and onboard hospitality.Supervise and coordinate with the Captain/Master, engineering team, service staff, housekeeping and F&B teams for smooth cruise operations.Ensure timely departures, smooth boarding, high service standards and excellent guest experience.Oversee restaurant and F&B operations, including service quality, inventory control, wastage and hygiene.Supervise housekeeping standards for onboard cabins, public areas and guest facilities.Coordinate hospitality operations at Namo Ghat, including the premium Suites and dining operations.Manage staff rosters, attendance, discipline, training and performance.Develop and implement SOPs across guest service, F&B, housekeeping, safety and daily operations.Monitor operating expenses, fuel usage, consumables, inventory and vendor performance.Coordinate preventive maintenance and ensure operational issues are resolved promptly.Handle guest complaints and ensure effective service recovery.Coordinate closely with Sales, Reservations and Accounts teams.Prepare daily and monthly operational reports for management.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements and applicable operational regulations.Maintain a premium hospitality standard across all Nirvana River Cruises operations.Preferred Candidate Profile8–12 years of experience in hotel, resort, cruise or premium hospitality operations.Prior experience in a senior operational role such as General Manager, Operations Manager, Hotel Manager or Resident Manager is preferred.Strong knowledge of F&B, housekeeping, guest relations and hospitality operations.Proven ability to manage large teams and multiple departments.Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Fluent in Hindi and English.Commercially aware, with a strong focus on cost control and operational efficiency.Comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment.Graduate in any discipline; Hotel Management / Hospitality Management qualification preferred.LocationVaranasi, Uttar PradeshCompensation8–10 lakh per annum, depending on experience and suitability.Perks & BenefitsSenior leadership role in a growing premium river cruise and hospitality company.Opportunity to build and lead the operational team of a new premium river cruise product.Meals while on duty, as applicable.Performance and compensation growth based on responsibility and business expansion.Role: Management - Other,Industry Type: Hotels & Restaurants,Department: Production, Manufacturing & Engineering,Employment Type: Full Time, PermanentRole Category: ManagementEducationUG: Any Graduate, B.A - Bachelor of Arts in Hotel Management, B.B.A. / B.M.S. in Hospitality and Tourism ManagementPG: MBA/PGDM in Hospitality ManagementKey SkillsSkills highlighted with ‘‘ are preferred keyskillsHotel ManagementGeneral ManagementRestaurant ManagementHotel SalesHotel MaintenanceResortHotel OperationsHospitality ManagementRelationship ManagementProperty ManagementGuest Relationship ManagementClient RelationshipHospitality OperationsAbout company Nirvana River Cruises LLP is a Varanasi-based river cruise and hospitality company creating premium tourism experiences on the River Ganga.The companys flagship vessel, MV Raghuvansh, is a premium multi-deck river cruise vessel designed for sightseeing cruises, dining experiences, private charters, events and overnight stays.Nirvana River Cruises also operates premium Suites at Namo Ghat, Varanasi, along with its hospitality and dining operations at the destination, giving the company a strong presence at one of Varanasi’s most prominent riverfront tourism locations.Our business spans river cruising, premium stays, dining, private events and curated tourism experiences, with a focus on high-quality service and memorable guest experiences.We are currently expanding our commercial and operational team as we build Nirvana into a distinctive premium hospitality and river tourism brand in Varanasi.Company InfoAddress:Nirvana River Cruises LLP, Namo Ghat Phase 2, Rajghat, Varanasi - 221001Beware of imposters!
