Purchase Executive – FMCG Location: Alipur, Delhi Job Type: Full-time | Work from Office Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Purchase Executive – FMCG who has good knowledge of purchasing rice, pulses, dry fruits, spices, edible oils, ghee and other FMCG/food products for export business. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Delhi wholesale markets, wholesalers, distributors, traders and direct manufacturers/mills , and should be capable of sourcing quality products at competitive rates. Key Responsibilities Source and purchase rice, pulses, dry fruits, spices, ghee, edible oils and other FMCG food products as per company requirements. Develop and maintain contacts with wholesalers, distributors, traders, manufacturers and mills across Delhi-NCR. Should have good market knowledge of Chandni Chowk, Khari Baoli, Naya Bazar and other major wholesale markets in Delhi . Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate best possible purchase rates . Compare prices from different suppliers, wholesalers and direct mills before finalizing purchases. Purchase products according to export quality, specifications, packaging and quantity requirements . Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial terms with suppliers. Maintain supplier database with product rates, contact details, availability and purchase history . Regularly check market prices and identify opportunities for cost-effective sourcing. Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery and ensure that the required quantity and quality are received. Coordinate with the Accounts and Export teams regarding purchase bills, payments and documentation. Maintain proper purchase records and prepare purchase comparison and quotation sheets in Excel . Develop long-term relationships with reliable suppliers and direct manufacturers/mills. Ensure that procurement is done at competitive rates while maintaining required quality standards. Required Skills Strong knowledge of FMCG/food product purchasing . Good supplier network in Delhi wholesale markets or direct mills/manufacturers . Strong negotiation and rate-comparison skills. Good knowledge of rice, pulses, dry fruits and other food products . Ability to identify quality products at competitive prices. Good communication and supplier coordination skills. Basic to good knowledge of MS Excel and purchase records. Should be comfortable visiting wholesale markets/suppliers when required. Experience & Qualification Experience: 1–3 years in FMCG, food, grocery or commodity purchasing preferred. Candidates with strong practical wholesale market/supplier contacts will be preferred. Graduate preferred; relevant purchasing experience may be considered. Important This position is specifically for a candidate who understands the Delhi FMCG/food wholesale market and supplier network and can help the company source products at competitive prices for international export requirements .
