Brand Custodian for HDFC Bank Ensure consistent implementation of brand identity and safeguard brand integrity. Monitor brand health and oversee communication alignment with brand values. Brand Activation Head Lead national-level brand activations and align regional activations with national strategies. Collaborate with regional teams to maintain brand consistency. Budget / Cost Controls Set and manage marketing budgets to optimize ROI. Evaluate partners, monitor spending, and streamline billing processes to enhance cost efficiency. The Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited or HDFC Ltd was among the first financial institutions in India to receive an “in principle” approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to set up a bank in the private sector. This was done as part of RBI’s policy for liberalisation of the Indian banking industry in 1994. HDFC Bank was incorporated in August 1994 in the name of HDFC Bank Limited, with its registered office in Mumbai, India. The bank commenced operations as a Scheduled Commercial Bank in January 1995. On April 4, 2022 the merger of India’s largest Housing Finance Company, HDFC Limited and the largest private sector bank in India, HDFC Bank, was announced. HDFC Ltd, over the last 45 years has developed one of the best product offerings making it a leader in the housing finance business. HDFC Bank enables seamless delivery of home loans as a part of its wide product suite catering to urban, semi urban and rural India. Post merger, HDFC Bank is a professionally managed organisation, overseen by an experienced Board of Directors and does not have an identified promoter. The merger also marks the transformation of HDFC Bank into a financial services conglomerate offering a full suite of financial services, from banking to insurance, and mutual funds through its subsidiaries. As of June 30, 2026, the Bank’s distribution network was at 9,694 branches and 20,958 ATMs across 4,175 cities / towns as against 9,499 branches and 21,251 ATMs across 4,153 cities / towns as of June 30, 2025. 50% of the branches are in semi-urban and rural areas. In addition, the Bank has 14,392 business correspondents, which are primarily manned by Common Service Centres (CSC). The Bank’s international operations comprises five branches, located in Bahrain, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore and an IFSC Banking Unit in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City.
