BARISTA – JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Barista Department: Food & Beverage / Café Operations Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager Location: daWholesum Resto-Café- FC Road Job PurposeTo prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages and smoothies while maintaining excellent customer service, hygiene and café standards. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano and other coffee beverages as per SOP. Prepare mocktails, smoothies, juices and other beverages as per recipe standards. Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders and other beverage equipment. Ensure consistency in taste, presentation and portion size. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar/counter and equipment. Check beverage stock and inform the manager about shortages. Follow FIFO and proper storage procedures. Handle customer orders professionally and provide excellent service. Coordinate with the kitchen and service team for smooth order execution. Follow food safety, hygiene and company SOPs. Minimise wastage and maintain proper portion control. Handle opening and closing duties of the beverage station. Support upselling of beverages and café products. Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience as a Barista preferred. Knowledge of coffee preparation and basic beverage operations. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant/café environment. Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety. Positive attitude, grooming and professional behaviour. Ability to work in shifts, weekends and holidays.
