Job Description: Telesales Team LeaderRole OverviewWe are looking for a high-energy, performance-driven Telesales Team Leader to join our fast-paced banking team. The Team Leader will be responsible for managing, motivating, and developing a team of telesales associates to achieve business targets while maintaining high standards of customer service, quality, and compliance. The ideal candidate should have strong people-management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in telesales, BPO, banking, or financial services. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management & LeadershipLead, manage, and motivate a team of telesales associates to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly business targets. Allocate leads and monitor team productivity, call volumes, conversions, and follow-ups. Conduct regular team huddles, performance reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions. Maintain a high-energy and performance-oriented team environment. Identify individual team members' strengths and development areas and provide continuous coaching and support. Sales & Target AchievementDrive the team to achieve and exceed sales targets for banking products such as personal loans, credit cards, savings accounts, and other financial products . Monitor the sales funnel and ensure effective lead progression and timely follow-ups. Track team performance against key metrics such as calls, connected calls, conversions, revenue, and productivity. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling based on customer requirements. Take corrective actions and implement strategies to improve team conversion and productivity. Performance Monitoring & ReportingMonitor daily team performance and prepare regular productivity and sales reports. Analyze performance data to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Share performance updates and business insights with management. Ensure accurate CRM usage, including lead updates, call outcomes, customer information, and follow-up activities. Quality & ComplianceEnsure all customer interactions meet the organization's quality and service standards. Monitor calls and provide constructive feedback to improve sales pitch, communication, and customer handling. Ensure the team follows all applicable banking processes, policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance guidelines. Address customer escalations and support the team in resolving complex customer queries. Training & DevelopmentConduct product, process, and sales training for new and existing team members. Coach team members on objection handling, customer engagement, product pitching, and closing techniques. Conduct regular refresher training based on performance gaps and business requirements. Support new hires during the onboarding and nesting period. Required Qualifications & SkillsExperience 2–5 years of experience in telesales, BPO, banking, financial services, or a related sales environment. Prior experience in a Team Leader/Supervisor role managing a telesales or outbound sales team is preferred. Experience handling sales targets and performance-driven teams is highly desirable. Leadership & CommunicationExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong people-management and team-motivation abilities. Ability to build rapport with team members and customers. Strong coaching, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. Sales SkillsStrong understanding of telesales processes and sales funnel management. Ability to coach teams on pitching, objection handling, cross-selling, and closing. Target-oriented with a strong focus on productivity and conversion. Technical SkillsComfortable working with CRM systems, MS Excel, and basic computer applications . Ability to analyze sales and productivity reports and derive actionable insights.
