You contribute to something India will be proud of.About the RoleWe are building IndianBrand Mobile OS — India's first 100% from-scratch operating system. We need a Kernel Engineer who can write bare-metal C code and understand how operating systems work at the lowest level. This is rare, exciting, and genuinely historic work.Required Skills C Programming (expert level) — you must be comfortable writing C without any standard library x86 or ARM Assembly — basic understanding of Assembly language Operating system fundamentals — memory management, process scheduling, interrupts Linux development environment — comfortable on Ubuntu or similar GDB — debugging compiled code Git — version controlKey Responsibilities Write and improve kernel code in C — memory manager, interrupt handlers, process scheduler Write Assembly code for low-level hardware initialisation Test kernel changes in QEMU virtual machine Document code clearly for the team Collaborate asynchronously with other developers via Git and email Research and implement OS concepts from OSDev Wiki and reference documentsPhase 1 is already complete — bootloader, kernel, VGA driver, keyboard driver, and basic shell all working in QEMU.
