- Messages from unofficial domains, personal emails or unknown numbers.
- Requests to communicate or pay outside the employer’s verified process.
- Requests to install unknown applications, screen-sharing tools or remote-access software.
- Recruiters using look-alike domains, misspelled company names or unverifiable profiles.
- Requests to purchase equipment, courses or documents from a specified person.
Protect yourself
- Independently verify the employer, recruiter and job information.
- Check the company’s official website, address and contact details before responding.
- Confirm important communication through an official company email domain.
- Request a written job description and carefully review every offer condition.
- Never transfer money to obtain an interview, job or offer letter.
- Do not share OTPs, passwords or confidential banking information.
- Never install remote-access software or share your screen with an unknown recruiter.
- Do not hand over original identity, education or employment documents.
- Share identity documents only after verification and add the intended purpose where appropriate.
- Keep copies of suspicious emails, messages, numbers and payment requests.
