Senior Firmware Engineer (Medical Devices)

We are looking for a senior firmware engineer who has written and shipped embedded firmware for medical devices, and who knows that in a medical product the firmware is part of the safety case. You will own a device's firmware from architecture to release: decide its structure, write the critical parts yourself, and produce the documentation a regulated product needs. Hands-on role: you write the drivers, state machines and alarm handling, and can explain how each one fails safe.

What you will do

Define firmware architecture: tasks or super-loop, interrupts, state machines, boot and update path, fault handling.

Write C (and C++ where it fits) for ARM Cortex-M: ADCs and analog front ends, sensors, motors and pumps, displays, BLE, bootloaders and secure update.

Low power design for battery and wearable devices, measured on the bench.

Alarms, watchdogs, self-tests and safe states, and prove they work.

Work to IEC 62304 and ISO 14971; support IEC 60601 where it touches firmware.

Bring up new boards with JTAG/SWD, scope and logic analyser.

You have

5 to 10 years of production embedded C on microcontrollers, including medical device work you can name (device type and what you wrote).

RTOS or bare metal architecture, BLE plus one of USB/CAN/RS485/Wi-Fi/cellular.

Git, code review, static analysis (e.g. MISRA C), unit testing as daily practice.

B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, E&TC, Instrumentation, Computer or Electrical.

Pune based or willing to relocate.

Nice to have: IEC 62304 Class B/C, ISO 13485, services/contract engineering, pumps or biosignal (ECG, SpO2), embedded Linux, taking a device through certification.
