Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for children and adults. Perform pure-tone, speech and impedance audiometry tests. Evaluate tinnitus, auditory-processing and balance-related conditions. Interpret diagnostic results and prepare detailed clinical reports. Diagnose the type and degree of hearing loss within the authorised scope of practice. Recommend, fit and programme hearing aids and other assistive listening devices. Take ear impressions and coordinate the preparation of earmoulds. Provide hearing-aid trials, adjustments, maintenance and follow-up care. Conduct newborn and paediatric hearing-screening programmes. Develop individual hearing-rehabilitation and communication plans. Counsel patients and families regarding hearing loss and treatment options. Educate patients about hearing conservation and noise protection. Refer patients to ENT specialists or other healthcare professionals when required. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Clean, calibrate and maintain audiological equipment. Follow infection-control, patient-safety and professional standards. Coordinate with ENT doctors, speech therapists, teachers and rehabilitation teams.
