Role OverviewWe are looking for a Junior Accountant with a construction background to manage accounts across the full project cycle, from civil and construction work through to interior fit-outs and turnkey delivery. You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, project-wise accounting and statutory compliance. Key Responsibilities Maintain complete books of accounts, including project-wise accounting for construction and interior fit-out projects Prepare tax invoices, running account (RA) bills and client billing as per project milestones Handle GST work: invoicing, input tax credit reconciliation, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filing support Manage TDS deduction, payment and return filing for contractors, vendors and professionals Support Income Tax return filing and coordinate with the CA/auditor Handle vendor, subcontractor and labour payments, and reconcile their ledgers Track project costs, material purchases, work orders and site expenses Ensure statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF/ESI, Professional Tax, etc.) Perform bank reconciliation and maintain petty cash and expense records Prepare MIS reports and support audits with accurate documentation Requirements B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification (CA Inter or CMA Inter is a plus) 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, interiors or real estate Working knowledge of construction accounting (RA bills, retention, WIP, subcontractor billing, material reconciliation) Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax and statutory compliance Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel Good attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects Good to Have Experience with end-to-end fit-out or turnkey project accounting Familiarity with BOQs, work orders and contractor payment cycles What We Offer Exposure to diverse residential and commercial projects Collaborative, design-led work environment Opportunity to grow with a young, fast-building firm.
