Buoyant Labs builds technology and AI-driven products that help organizations make better-informed investment decisions in financial markets. As an Automation Testing Intern, you will help ensure the reliability and accuracy of systems where correctness genuinely matters.

What you will do:

1. Build, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Python and Playwright.

2. Write and execute API test cases for REST endpoints, validating response codes, payloads, schemas, and edge-case behaviour.

3. Translate product requirements into clear, reusable test cases and contribute to regression suites.

4. Work alongside developers in sprint cycles to identify defects early, log them with clear reproduction steps, and verify fixes.

5. Analyse test results, investigate failures, isolate root causes, and distinguish genuine bugs from flaky tests.

6. Contribute to improving test coverage, execution speed, and reporting across the automation framework.

7. Explore and adopt new tools and techniques that make our testing faster and more reliable.

What you will learn:

• Production-grade automation frameworks using Python, Playwright, and Pytest
• API testing and validation workflows used in real fintech products
• Version control with Git/GitHub and running tests in CI pipelines
• How QA works inside an Agile product team, end to end

Who this is for:

We are looking for someone curious and detail-oriented who enjoys breaking things to understand how they work. You do not need years of experience strong Python fundamentals, clear thinking, and genuine interest in quality engineering matter far more to us. Prior exposure to Selenium, Playwright, or any automation tool through coursework or personal projects is a strong plus.
