Senior Android Developer

We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic senior developer who can lead our android team and help deliver a user experience of high quality for the millions engaged with our English learning app, enguru.

What’s expected of you:

Write and maintain high performing, reusable, and reliable code

Ideation and implementation of user - facing features to provide a seamless learning experience

Work closely with cross functional groups including product management, QA, Back-end API team, UX and UI to drive product development and ensure the best possible performance and responsiveness of the app

Lead and support the android team

As a core team member, be involved with the general strategic decision in the company including formulating the product strategy and road map

What we are looking for in you:

You have built and managed at least one Android app with a significant user base

You have strong application architectural experience

You can take ownership of the product, build it from scratch, test and release it

You focus on code optimization, code quality, maintainability

You are comfortable working in a startup like environment

Requirements : (4+ years of Experience)

Thorough knowledge of Android SDK, platform capabilities and integration of third-party libraries

Well-versed in Java and its capabilities (Knowledge of Kotlin a significant +)

Experience with native UI development for multiple resolutions/screen sizes/orientations (XML)

Familiarity with multi-threading and network based Asynchronous calls

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git

Experience with Android Studio, Gradle

Experience with local data stores like SQLite

Experience with Animators and Multimedia preferable

Experience working with Amazon Web Services is an added benefit
