About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, develop, and support cloud-native solutions. Candidate should have hands-on experience building scalable, secure, and highly available applications on GCP while partnering closely with engineering, product, and platform teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and services on GCP.

Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).

Develop and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost.

Implement security best practices, IAM, networking, and monitoring.

Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and technical solutions.

Mentor junior engineers and participate in design and code reviews.

Required Skills

6+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years of hands-on GCP experience.

Strong knowledge of GCP services such as:

Cloud Run

GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)

Compute Engine

Cloud Functions

Cloud Storage

BigQuery

Pub/Sub

Cloud SQL / Spanner

Additional Skills

IAM and VPC

Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.

Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Cloud Build, etc.).

Strong programming skills in Java, Python.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Logging, Prometheus, or Grafana.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
