With a strong focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, the organization operates modern rice milling facilities and follows stringent food safety and quality standards.Position SummaryThe Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring quality standards across the entire rice value chain, including procurement, processing, storage, polishing, sorting, packing, and dispatch. The role involves managing quality systems, supervising laboratory testing, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to deliver consistent product quality.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & AssuranceImplement and monitor quality standards for raw, semi-processed, and finished riceConduct quality checks for grain length, moisture, purity, color, foreign matter, broken percentage, and aromaOversee grading, sorting, polishing, and packing operationsApprove final batches before dispatch as per contract and market requirementsLaboratory & Testing ManagementSupervise laboratory testing and quality analysisEnsure calibration and maintenance of testing equipmentMaintain accurate test documentation and reportsSupplier & Procurement CoordinationInspect incoming rice from suppliers and tradersEvaluate and onboard suppliers based on quality parametersCoordinate with procurement to reject substandard material and improve sourcing qualityProcess Improvement & ComplianceDrive continuous improvement in milling, grading, and sorting processesEnsure compliance with FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, BRC, and export quality standardsLead and support internal and external quality auditsHandle customer complaints and conduct root cause analysisTeam Leadership & ReportingTrain production, sorting line, and lab teams on quality standardsPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reportsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree (required)7–12 years of experience in rice mill operations or the rice export industryStrong knowledge of Basmati and Non-Basmati rice grades and processing standardsHands-on experience with color sorters, polishers, and graders (preferred)Understanding of milling parameters, moisture control, and storage practicesKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPlanning, organizing, and monitoring abilitiesTeam leadership and training capabilityKnowledge of quality KPIs such as batch rejection rate, customer complaints, yield efficiency, and grain breakage
