Job Description – Pressman Position: Pressman / Laundry Press Operator Department: Laundry Operations Employment Type: Full-Time Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and responsible Pressman to handle ironing and pressing of different types of garments while maintaining high standards of quality, garment care, and productivity. The candidate should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced laundry environment. Key ResponsibilitiesIron and press different types of garments as per quality standards. Operate steam irons, pressing machines, and other laundry equipment safely. Check garments for wrinkles, stains, damages, or other quality issues before and after pressing. Ensure proper temperature and pressing techniques are used according to fabric type. Fold or hang pressed garments neatly as required. Maintain daily productivity and quality targets. Handle customer garments carefully to avoid damage, burns, or stains. Keep the ironing and pressing work area clean and organized. Follow all safety and hygiene procedures. Coordinate with washing, dry-cleaning, quality-check, and packing teams. Report damaged garments or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately. Support the operations team during high-volume periods when required. Candidate Requirements Education: 8th / 10th / 12th Pass Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a Pressman, Ironing Operator, or similar role preferred. Knowledge of handling different garment fabrics. Experience operating steam irons and pressing equipment. Good attention to detail and quality. Ability to work for extended periods in a standing position. Willingness to work in shifts, if required. Hardworking, punctual, and responsible. Preferred ExperienceCandidates with previous experience in laundry services, dry-cleaning units, hotels, garment factories, or commercial ironing centers will be preferred.
