Database Support Engineer - Fresher

About the job:As a DBA, you will be working on setting up, configuration, administering, and maintaining multiple production and development environments which consist of backend as MSSQL, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, and Mongo database.

Key responsibilities:

A. Database administration:

1. Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB database servers.

B. Performance tuning:

1. Monitor database performance and identify bottlenecks.

2. Implement optimizations to improve query performance and overall system efficiency.

3. Perform query analysis, index optimization, and server parameter tuning.

C. High availability and disaster recovery:

1. Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as replication, clustering, and backups.

2. Develop and test failover procedures.

D. Security management:

1. Implement and enforce database security policies including user management, access control, and data encryption.

2. Conduct regular security audits.

E. Backup and recovery:

1. Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.

2. Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures.

F. Troubleshooting:

1. Diagnose and resolve database issues including performance problems, connectivity issues, and data corruption.

G. Automation:

1. Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting languages such as Bash and Python and other automation tools.

H. Monitoring:

1. Implement and maintain database monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.

I. Capacity planning:

1. Participate in capacity planning to ensure database resources can meet future growth demands.

J. Collaboration and support:

1. Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other teams to support application development and deployment.

2.
