Assistant Manager - Electrical Maintenance

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager - Electrical Maintenance to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Talegaon, Pune. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our plant machinery and electrical systems. This position is vital for maintaining high-performance chain drive systems for combustion and hybrid engine vehicles, contributing to our commitment to quality and innovation.

**Role Summary:**

The Assistant Manager - Electrical Maintenance will be responsible for overseeing preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities related to electrical and electronic equipment. The role requires a proactive approach to minimize machine downtime and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and plant machinery to ensure maximum machine availability.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic failures in Special Purpose Machines (SPM) and other plant equipment.
• Manage electrical power systems, power distribution systems, drives, servo systems, PLCs, VFDs, DC drives, HMIs, and industrial PCs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot filtration systems, hydraulic equipment, and associated electrical control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical, electronic, and mechanical circuit diagrams and schematics.
• Participate in machine modifications, upgradation, and performance improvement activities.
• Implement Poka-Yoke solutions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and technical documentation.
• Plan maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company policies.
• Train and guide apprentices and junior team members on maintenance procedures and safety practices.

**Required Skills:**

• Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance practices and principles.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with ISO/TS 16949 and Lean initiatives.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound technical judgment.
