Job Title:  Purchase Manager Company:  Kingston Educational Institute Location:  Barasat, Kolkata, West Bengal Job Type:  Full-time | Work from office Shift:  Day shift, Monday to Saturday About Us Kingston Educational Institute runs colleges, a polytechnic, a school and Kingston General Hospital (110 beds) on its campus in Barasat. We are hiring a Purchase Manager to handle buying for all our institutions and the hospital. Your Daily Work • Buy everything our colleges, school and hospital need: – Hospital: medical consumables, pharmacy items, surgical items and equipment – Colleges: lab equipment, furniture, IT hardware and stationery – Campus: maintenance, electrical, housekeeping and civil work materials • Collect at least 3 quotations, prepare comparison sheets and get approval before buying • Raise purchase orders and follow up for on-time delivery • Find new vendors, check their quality and negotiate better rates • Set up yearly rate contracts for regular items • Work with store staff to check goods received against the purchase order • Track stock levels and reorder before items run out, especially hospital and pharmacy items • Send vendor bills to Accounts with the purchase order and delivery documents for payment • Keep vendor records and the purchase register up to date • Prepare monthly purchase reports showing spend, savings and pending orders • Help with AMCs (annual maintenance contracts) for equipment and services Who Can Apply • Education: Graduate in any field (MBA in Supply Chain / Materials Management is a plus) • Experience: 5–10 years in purchase or procurement, with at least 2 years managing purchases independently • Hospital or healthcare purchase experience strongly preferred • Good negotiation skills and knowledge of the local vendor market in Kolkata • Comfortable with MS Excel; Tally or ERP purchase module knowledge is a plus • Basic knowledge of GST on purchase bills • Bengali, Hindi and good English required • Candidates living near Barasat, Madhyamgram or the North 24 Parganas area preferred
