Job description: Account Head Location: Gurgaon, Sector 19, Phase 5 Experience: 10+ Years Industry: Banking / Financial Services Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant Manager with 8+ years of experience exclusively in the banking sector. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in banking accounting, reconciliation, financial reporting, and transaction review, with a solid understanding of banking processes and controls. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations within the banking environment. Perform and oversee bank reconciliations and account reconciliations . Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of banking transactions, ledgers, and balances. Review and resolve reconciliation differences, unmatched entries, and outstanding items. Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and accounting schedules. Ensure accurate recording and classification of banking transactions. Monitor accounting controls and ensure compliance with internal banking policies. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve accounting and reconciliation-related issues. Review month-end and year-end closing activities. Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to accounting and reconciliation processes. Support internal and statutory audits by providing required reports and documentation. Lead and mentor junior accounting team members. Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of relevant experience in the banking sector. Banking-sector experience is mandatory. Strong experience in reconciliation and accounting operations . Good understanding of banking transactions, ledgers, settlements, and financial controls. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems. Strong communication and team-management skills. Ability to manage multiple accounting activities and meet strict deadlines. Preferred Candidate The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong background in banking accounting and reconciliation, who can independently manage accounting operations, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Note: Candidates without relevant banking-sector experience will not be considered.
