Interior Designer – Residential & Commercial - Fresher

About the job:

The Signature Design Studio is a premium interior design firm in HSR Layout, Bengaluru. We've been working for 13 years, completed 1,200+ residential and commercial projects, and won several national design awards. We design and build homes, villas, apartments, and offices from concept through to handover.

Key responsibilities:

1. Meet clients to understand their needs, lifestyle, budget, and timeline.

2. Plan spaces and furniture layouts and develop design concepts and mood boards.

3. Create 2D drawings and 3D views and present design options to clients.

4. Prepare detailed working drawings for carpentry, false ceilings, electrical layouts, elevations, and sections.

5. Select materials, finishes, lighting, hardware, and soft furnishings within the client's budget.

6. Assist in preparing BOQs and estimates with the Sales and Project teams.

7. Conduct regular site visits to ensure execution matches the drawings and resolve on-site issues.

8. Coordinate with vendors, carpenters, and the execution team until project handover.

9. Freshers will initially support senior designers with drawings, 3D views, and site visits and gradually take on their own projects as they grow.

Other Requirements:

1. Strong AutoCAD skills for 2D layouts and detailed working drawings.

2. Proficiency in SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Revit for 3D modelling, along with V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, or D5 for rendering.

3. Good knowledge of materials, modular furniture, false ceilings, and site work.

4. Strong sense of space, proportion, colour, and detail.

5. Good communication and presentation skills for client meetings.

6. Degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.

7. Freshers with a strong academic or personal portfolio, or experienced designers with up to 3 years of experience.

8. Currently based in or willing to relocate to Bengaluru.

9. Ability to join immediately or within 30 days.

10. Comfortable visiting sites across Bengaluru.
