Backend engineer (Java+Flink)

What You’ll Do

As a Backend Engineer at MediaMelon, you’ll build and implement the core services that drive our real-time analytics engine. You’ll work on mission-critical components—from stream processing pipelines to low-latency data stores—while collaborating with a highly experienced engineering team.

You will

Build and optimize high-throughput backend services in Java

Develop real-time data processing flows using Flink and Kafka

Work with ClickHouse or similar OLAP systems to power large-scale analytics

Enhance performance, reliability, and observability of distributed services

Shape backend architecture and influence key technical decisions

Contribute directly to products used by major global streaming providers

What You Bring

4–6 years of strong backend engineering experience

Deep expertise in Java

Hands-on experience with Flink, Kafka, and ClickHouse (or equivalents)

Solid understanding of distributed systems and high-volume data processing

A passion for solving complex real-time data challenges

Nice to Have

Experience with streaming/video analytics platforms

Familiarity with microservices, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure
