We are seeking a Python Infrastructure Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to manage and optimize infrastructure, containerization, and developer tooling across large codebases. Based in Bangalore with a hybrid work model, this role focuses on maintaining multi-platform development environments, optimizing container lifecycles, and ensuring seamless cross-platform shell compatibility.

What will your role look like

• Maintain, optimize, and debug large Python codebases of over 5,000 lines utilizing typing, pathlib, subprocess, pytest, and advanced mocking techniques.
• Configure and troubleshoot development environments using Docker, docker-compose, and the Dev Containers specification.
• Manage cross-platform developer setups across macOS, Linux, and Windows, handling shell quirks, path separators, symlinks, and junctions.
• Execute complex Git operations, including worktrees, hooks, submodules, and detailed commit inspection.
• Analyze and resolve build performance bottlenecks inside containers for large C++ or Java codebases without writing application code.
