Food & Wellness Store - Internship

About the internship:We are looking for a curious, articulate, and enthusiastic individual who has a genuine interest in food, nutrition, traditional Indian grains, and healthy natural staples.

This is a hands-on internship where you will learn about our products, grains, milling, and food processes while working directly with customers and experiencing the day-to-day functioning of a premium food store.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop an understanding of traditional Indian grains and staples.

2. Learn about different types of flour, grains, dals, oils, ghee, nuts, and other natural foods.

3. Understand the difference between traditional processing methods.

4. Learn about Slomilled Foods' sourcing, milling, and production processes.

5. Develop the ability to explain product characteristics and nutritional aspects to customers in a simple, responsible manner.

6. Welcome and interact with customers at the store.

7. Understand their requirements and help them select suitable products.

8. Answer customer questions about grains, flours, nutrition, and our processes.

9. Learn how to communicate the Slomilled Foods philosophy without being overly sales-driven.

10. Develop long-term relationships with customers and understand their feedback.

11. Assist with billing and day-to-day store operations.

12. Learn inventory management, stock rotation, and product handling.

13. Help maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene.

14. Assist with customer orders and local deliveries.

15. Maintain basic sales and inventory records.

16. Work with the team to ensure smooth functioning of the store.

17. Candidates who demonstrate strong product knowledge, customer-handling ability, ownership, and store-management skills during the internship may be offered a full-time role with Slomilled Foods.

18. The long-term opportunity could involve taking increasing responsibility for
