Engineering manager (Client facing)

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strong technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers.Define and execute engineering strategies aligned with business goals.Manage multiple concurrent projects with a focus on timely, high-quality delivery.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features.Drive Agile methodologies to enhance team performance and efficiency.Conduct performance reviews and foster continuous professional development.Oversee the complete SDLC—from design and development to deployment.Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and capacity planning.Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.Ensure high coding standards and adherence to engineering best practices.Contribute hands-on to coding, architecture, and technical design decisions.Work closely with clients and external stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.Tech StackJavaSpring FrameworkMicroservices ArchitectureCloud TechnologiesLarge-scale distributed systemsIdeal Candidate ProfileExperience8+ years of engineering experience, including backend development and scalable distributed systems.2+ years of people and delivery leadership experience.Proven client-facing experience, translating business needs into engineering execution.Technical ExpertiseStrong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, microservices, and SDLC processes.Deep understanding of system design, architecture reviews, and engineering best practices.Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.Leadership & CollaborationStrong communication skills with the ability to present to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience collaborating with product, design, sales, and client teams.Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end execution, release coordination, and delivery.Additional RequirementsExperience working in product-based organizations.Stable career history (minimum 2 years per previous organization).B.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from Tier 1 / Tier 2 institutions (Master’s preferred).Education criteria may be relaxed for candidates from strong, reputed product organizations.
