Java API microservices

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Java API & Microservices Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, and cloud-native development practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.

Develop and consume APIs for integration with internal and external applications.

Implement Microservices architecture patterns, including service discovery, API gateway, circuit breaker, and distributed tracing.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.

Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.

Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure application security, reliability, and scalability.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

Strong experience in Core Java (Java 8/11/17).

Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA.

Expertise in RESTful API development and integration.

Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.

Experience with Hibernate/JPA.

Knowledge of API Gateway, Service Discovery (Eureka/Consul).

Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ messaging systems.

Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.

Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is preferred.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.

Hands-on experience with Git version control.

Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Good to Have

Experience with Spring Cloud components.

Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger.

Exposure to Redis/Caching solutions.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk.

Understanding of OAuth2, JWT, and application security best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience in enterprise application development.

Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices patterns.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Strong debugging and performance tuning skills. .
