About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and people-focused HR Manager to manage and oversee the
complete HR function of our EdTech organization. The ideal candidate will have strong
experience across recruitment, employee lifecycle management, payroll, attendance, employee
engagement, performance management, and HR operations.
The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and should have
hands-on experience managing payroll, attendance, and leave management through ERP Next.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Recruitment
Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, from understanding manpower
requirements to onboarding.
Handle sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer management, and joining
formalities.
Partner with business and functional teams to understand hiring requirements and
timelines.
Develop and maintain effective recruitment channels for sourcing quality candidates.
Ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring
process.
2. Payroll, Attendance & Leave Management
Manage monthly payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate salary
disbursement.
Oversee employee attendance, leave, late marks, and other payroll-related inputs.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Manage payroll, attendance, and leave processes on ERP Next.
Coordinate with Finance and other relevant stakeholders for payroll processing and
reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and company policies.
3. Employee Grievance Handling
Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, queries, and grievances.
Address employee issues fairly, professionally, and confidentially.
Work with management to resolve workplace concerns and maintain a positive work
environment.
Ensure appropriate documentation and follow-up for employee grievances.
4. Employee Engagement & Culture
Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, events, and activities.
Develop initiatives that promote employee motivation, collaboration, and
organizational culture.
Conduct employee feedback activities and identify areas for improvement.
Support initiatives related to employee well-being and retention.5. Employee Management & HR Operations
Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation,
transfers, promotions, and exits.
Maintain employee records, HR policies, and documentation.
Ensure effective implementation of HR policies and processes.
Support managers in handling employee-related matters.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze employee attrition trends.
6. Background Verification
Manage the end-to-end employee background verification process.
Coordinate with internal teams and external verification agencies, where applicable.
Track verification status and ensure timely completion before or during onboarding.
Identify discrepancies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for appropriate
action.
7. Performance Management & Annual Appraisals
Manage the organization's performance review cycle.
Coordinate annual and periodic performance evaluations.
Work with managers to ensure timely completion of performance reviews.
Maintain performance records and support managers in providing constructive
feedback.
Coordinate the annual appraisal process, including documentation and
communication of outcomes.
Support performance improvement processes wherever required.
8. HR Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and maintain HR MIS and periodic reports related to headcount, attrition,
recruitment, attendance, leave, payroll, and employee performance.
Ensure HR processes are aligned with organizational policies and applicable
statutory requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee information.
Required Qualifications
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or a relevant HR specialization.
5+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably in IT, EdTech, or a fast-paced
technology-driven organization.
Strong hands-on experience across HR operations and employee lifecycle
management.
Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment.
Hands-on experience with ERPNext for payroll, attendance, and leave management.
Strong understanding of performance management and annual appraisal processes.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and
professionalism.
Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
Experience managing both recruitment and HR operations independently.
Strong analytical and HR MIS skills.
Good understanding of payroll and attendance processes.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced EdTech environment.
Strong stakeholder management and employee relationship skills.
