Senior SAP ABAP Developer – S/4HANA | RAP | CDS | OData | Fiori | CPIExperience: 6–10 YearsLocation: Bangalore / HyderabadHiring Type: External HiringWork Mode: As per project requirementJoining: Immediate / Short Notice PreferredRole OverviewWe are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer with strong experience in Core ABAP, SAP S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA, RAP, CDS Views, OData and modern SAP development.The ideal candidate should be capable of developing and enhancing SAP applications, building integrations, supporting S/4HANA environments, and working closely with functional consultants to deliver scalable and high-quality technical solutions.Key Responsibilities* Design, develop, test and deploy SAP applications using Core ABAP and S/4HANA development techniques.* Develop and enhance applications using ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).* Develop RAP Business Objects, Behavior Definitions, Behavior Implementations, Service Definitions and Service Bindings.* Create, extend and optimize CDS Views / CDS View Entities, including annotations and associations.* Develop and consume OData and REST APIs for SAP and external system integrations.* Develop reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows and data conversion programs using ABAP.* Work with Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP) and ABAP on HANA.* Develop and support integrations using BAPIs, RFCs, Function Modules, IDocs/ALE, REST and SOAP.* Develop and maintain Adobe Forms / Smart Forms.* Support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and OData-based services.* Develop and monitor integrations using SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite, where applicable.* Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, defect fixing and production support.* Perform performance tuning and SQL optimization using HANA-optimized development techniques.* Follow Clean Core principles and SAP development best practices.* Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, testing and quality assurance activities.* Work closely with functional consultants to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.* Prepare technical specifications and maintain development documentation.* Support SAP S/4HANA migration, conversion, upgrade and custom code remediation activities.Mandatory Skills* Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP* ABAP on HANA* SAP S/4HANA* Object-Oriented ABAP* CDS Views / CDS View Entities* OData Services* Strong knowledge of ABAP development and debugging* Reports – Classical / ALV* Enhancements – User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs / Enhancement Framework* BAPIs, RFCs and Function Modules* IDoc / ALE* Smart Forms / Adobe Forms* Good understanding of SAP development lifecycle and transport managementPreferred / Good-to-Have Skills* RAP – RESTful ABAP Programming Model* RAP Business Objects, Behavior Definitions and Service Definitions* Eclipse ADT* Fiori / SAPUI5* SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite* REST / SOAP APIs* ABAP Proxies* AIF interface monitoring and error handling* Clean Core development* ATC / Code Inspector* Custom Code Remediation* HANA SQL performance optimization* SAP BTP / ABAP CloudFunctional Exposure – Good to HaveExperience in any one of the following SAP areas is preferred:* SAP EWM  * Inbound / Outbound Processes  * Warehouse Tasks  * Warehouse Orders  * RF Development  * PPF EnhancementsOR* SAP TM  * Freight Orders  * Freight Units  * Transportation Planning  * BOPF EnhancementsFunctional exposure in FICO, MM or SD is also an advantage.Candidate Profile* 6–10 years of relevant SAP technical experience.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Good communication and stakeholder management skills.* Ability to work independently as well as with functional and technical teams.* Experience in development, implementation, rollout, upgrade or production support projects.* Strong understanding of SAP coding standards, performance optimization and development best practices.EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.SAP certifications in ABAP, S/4HANA, Fiori, BTP or related technologies will be an added advantage.
