SIU- Senior Accountant

About the job:

Key responsibilities:

1. Maintain and oversee records of all university financial activities, including income, expenses, and student fee receipts.

2. Supervise student fee collection and payment processes, track outstanding amounts, and ensure proper reconciliation of accounts.

3. Efficiently handle accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.

4. Prepare and present financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.

5. Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and all other relevant statutory and regulatory provisions.

6. Perform regular bank reconciliations and closely monitor the university's cash flow and financial position.

7. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial records, statements, and supporting documentation.

8. Maintain accurate payroll information and coordinate the timely processing and disbursement of employee salaries.

9. Prepare departmental budgets and develop financial estimates, projections, and forecasts.
