AI Video Editor Intern

Role summary

AMPM is a short-form video news platform for Gen Z India. We are hiring 2 full-time AI Video Editors to generate news explainer takes using an AI avatar on screen, with infographics and on-screen context layered in between.

You will be given scripts or a clear brief. Your job is to turn it into a tight, story-driven vertical video that earns attention in the first 2 seconds.

If you are generating videos with Runway, Luma Dream Machine, Kling, Pixverse/Pika (or similar) and you know what you are doing with them (prompting, sequencing, iteration, and directing outputs), we want to talk.

What you will do

Generate AI avatar based explainer videos (talking avatar delivering the story)

Add infographics and overlays between beats (headlines, maps, timelines, stats, callouts)

Create supporting AI visuals when needed (b-roll, environments, cutaways)

Assemble final vertical edits (9:16) with strong pacing, sound, and captions

Deliver quickly and iterate (alternate hooks, different visual approaches)

Must-have experience

Strong hands-on work with GenAI video tools (Runway, Luma, Kling, Pixverse/Pika, etc.)

Experience with AI avatar or talking-head generation workflows (any tool is fine if results are good)

Strong prompting skills and an iterative workflow to control outputs

Ability to sequence clips into a coherent explainer (continuity and intent)

Strong short-form editing instincts (hooks, pacing, clarity)

Nice-to-haves

After Effects or basic motion graphics

News or explainer editing experience

Deliverables

Vertical exports optimized for Reels/Shorts (1080x1920)

Organized project files and prompt notes when helpful
