Function / Department: Engineering – Electrical & InstrumentationAbout the RoleThis role involves leading the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) design and estimation function for water and wastewater treatment projects. The position focuses on design calculations, tender evaluation, proposal support, and vendor coordination to ensure technical accuracy and cost efficiency in project delivery.Work Location: Airoli, Navi MumbaiDesired Candidate ProfileQualification:B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Instrumentation EngineeringExperience:Minimum 10–15 years of total experience, with at least 7 years in the water industry (Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Desalination, or similar domains)Key Skills & ExpertiseDesign and estimation of MCC, PLC, cabling, and field instrumentsHands-on experience in process and proposal engineering for E&I estimationStrong understanding of tender specifications and ability to estimate E&I scope accuratelyVendor and client coordination for technical clarifications and commercial evaluationsProficiency in preparing design documents, datasheets, and engineering drawingsKey ResponsibilitiesPerform design calculations for electrical panels, MCCs, cables, and earthing systemsEstimate power consumption, size motors and MCCs based on plant requirementsReview tender documents and prepare specifications and datasheets for MCCs, motors, cables, and LPBSDevelop single line diagrams (SLDs), schematic diagrams, and VFD panel specificationsPrepare plant layouts for cable trays, earthing systems, and related E&I infrastructureGenerate load lists (process & supply) based on mechanical and process inputsPrepare cable and interconnection schedules for WTP/STP/ETP projectsCreate instrument indices, IO lists, JB schedules, SOV box schedules, and RFQs for PLC systems and field instruments (PG, PT, MGFT, LS, LG, analyzers, etc.)Conduct technical evaluations of vendor offers for MCCs, motors, cables, VFDs, PLCs, and instrumentsParticipate in inspection, testing, and FATs for panels and E&I systems at vendor facilitiesSupport internal and client project review meetings, resolving technical queries from clients and vendorsReporting To: Head – Engineering (E&I)
