CNC Machine Operator

Job Title: Senior / Experienced CNC Machine Operator ​Position: CNC Machine Operator / Technician ​Experience Required: 3+ Years ​Salary Range: ₹35,000 – ₹80,000 per month (Commensurate with skills & experience) ​Employment Type: Full-time ​Position Overview ​We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator with at least 3 years of hands-on experience to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines (such as lathes, mills, or multi-axis turning centers) to produce high-precision metal, plastic, or composite parts according to blueprint specifications. ​Key Responsibilities ​Setup & Operation ​Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering blueprints, geometric dimensioning, and tolerances (GD&T). ​Load programs, set tool offsets, establish zero reference points, and prepare raw materials. ​Set up workholding fixtures, jaws, collets, and cutting tools according to job setup sheets. ​Operate CNC Lathes, CNC Milling Machines, or VMCs/HMCs efficiently during production runs. ​Quality Control & Precision ​Inspect first-piece and in-process manufactured parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines/CMM). ​Make necessary offset adjustments, tool changes, or feed/speed modifications to maintain exact tolerances (e.g., within \pm0.01\text{ mm}). ​Perform regular quality checks and maintain detailed inspection logs to ensure compliance with quality standards. ​Maintenance & Safety ​Perform routine preventive maintenance on CNC machinery (coolant levels, lubrication, cleaning chips). ​Diagnose minor machine errors or alarms and coordinate with maintenance engineers for complex issues. ​Strictly adhere to industrial safety regulations, wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. ​Required Qualifications & Skills ​Education: ITI in Machinist/Turner, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical trade experience. ​Experience: Minimum 3 years in setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC machines in a production or precision machining environment. ​Control Systems: Proficiency with major CNC controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, Haas, or Mazak. ​Technical Knowledge: ​Solid understanding of G-code and M-code editing. ​Knowledge of cutting tool selection, geometry, and feed rate/spindle speed calculations. ​Familiarity with GD&T symbols and precision measuring instruments.
