The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Android development using Java and Kotlin, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications for mobile devices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Integrate mobile applications with backend systems using RESTful APIs.Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Identify and fix bugs, optimize performance, and improve application scalability.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Android development.Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.8+ years of experience in Android development using Java and Kotlin.Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Kotlin.Technical SkillsStrong understanding of the Android platform and Android SDK across multiple OS versions.Proficiency in consuming RESTful web services and API integration.Solid knowledge of Android UI/UX principles, design patterns, and best practices.Experience with popular Android libraries and open-source frameworks.Hands-on experience with build tools such as Gradle or Maven.Testing & Quality AssuranceExperience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, or Robolectric.Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).Experience testing across multiple devices, screen sizes, and configurations.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and static code analysis.Performance & OptimizationExperience in handling local data storage solutions.Strong understanding of multithreading and performance tuning.Ability to optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.Tools & TechnologiesVersion control systems such as Git.Experience with Azure DevOps or similar lifecycle management tools.Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.Soft SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in distributed/global teams.Self-motivated and proactive with a strong learning mindset.Comfortable in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
