AGM / DGM Engineering | Job Description

The AGM/DGM Engineering will be responsible for managing and controlling overall engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and technical operations of the plant. The candidate will lead cross-functional teams and ensure smooth production, optimum machine utilization, quality compliance, cost control, and timely achievement of production targets.

The candidate must have strong practical knowledge of engineering manufacturing processes, particularly Powder Coating, CNC/VMC Machining, Hot Forming & Heat Treatment, and Spinning Processes. He/She should be capable of understanding process requirements, identifying technical problems, improving process efficiency, reducing rejection and downtime, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

The role will involve planning and monitoring production activities, machine maintenance, preventive maintenance, breakdown control, tooling requirements, process improvement, and capacity utilization. The candidate will coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Purchase, Stores, and other departments to ensure smooth plant operations.

The AGM/DGM will be responsible for implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, Cost Reduction, Productivity Improvement, and Process Optimization initiatives. The candidate should analyze production and machine performance data and prepare MIS reports for senior management.

The candidate will also supervise engineering projects, machine installation, commissioning, plant modifications, and development of new processes or products. Strong knowledge of drawings, process parameters, tooling, fixtures, quality standards, and technical problem-solving will be preferred.

The position requires strong leadership and team-management skills, with the ability to guide engineers, supervisors, technicians, and operators. The candidate must ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and statutory requirements.
