Job description for Utility operator/technicianThe following is a list of major duties and responsibilities for this position Utility operator/technician1. Inspects and performs preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to a wide variety ofmechanical and electronic equipment, ., disassembles, cleans, lubricates, and replaces equipmentparts as needed; makes minor mechanical repairs.2. Monitors equipment and takes reading at designated intervals; tracks the status of the system andprepares reports that account for equipment performance.3. Records and reports defects or failures in gas, electricity, or water; immediately responds andreports water and gas.4. Performs laboratory water chemistry testing and chemical treatment for all systems.7. Performs scheduled plant inspections, and records observations in the facility logbook.8.
