Essential Requirements A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (completed or due this year), or equivalent practical experience such as a bootcamp or apprenticeship. Solid grasp of core Java: OOP, collections, exceptions, generics and streams. Hands-on experience with Spring Boot from university, personal or internship projects. Understanding of REST principles, HTTP and JSON. Working knowledge of SQL and relational database design. Familiarity with Git and a build tool such as Maven or Gradle. Clear communication and a willingness to ask questions and learn quickly. Desirable skills None of these are required; we'll help you learn them on the job. Spring Security, OAuth2 or JWT-based authentication. Microservice patterns and messaging with Kafka or RabbitMQ. Docker, Kubernetes or a cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP). NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
