B2B Business Development & Operations - Internship (WFH)

About the internship:This is not a telecalling internship. This is a hands-on Business Development + Recruitment + Operations role in a real manpower company you will talk to real companies, source real workers, and learn how staffing contracts, pricing, deployments and client servicing actually work.

As one of only 2 interns, you will work directly with the founding team. A large part of the role is talking to people business calls, WhatsApp follow-ups, and candidate screening. You will research industrial companies, pitch Workline's manpower services to HR and plant managers, follow up on leads, understand manpower requirements, source and screen workers, and coordinate between candidates, supervisors and clients. You will also get exposure to the technology side of the business CRM and lead management, AI tools for recruitment, digital hiring campaigns, and our workforce-management platform (as a business user, not a developer).

What this is NOT: a desk-research internship, data-entry work, or a certificate mill. If you are uncomfortable speaking with strangers on calls, this is not the right internship for you. If you are confident, proactive and want to learn how a business is actually run and grown, you will get more practical exposure here in 3 months than in most classroom courses.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Research industrial/manufacturing companies and identify the right HR, admin or operations contacts.

2. Call prospective clients, introduce Workline Solution's manpower services and set up follow-ups.

3. Follow up with leads over calls, WhatsApp and email; maintain accurate lead status in Google Sheets/CRM.

4. Understand manpower requirements shared by clients role, headcount, location, shift, duration.

5. Post job vacancies and source suitable workers/candidates through online and offline channels.

6. Speak with candidates, do first-level screening and coordinate joining formalities.

7. Coordinate between candidates, site supervisors, clients and the Workline team for smooth deployments.

8. Support daily operations documentation, attendance tracking and deployment updates.

9. Prepare a short daily progress report and a weekly summary of calls, leads and closures.

10. Assist with digital recruitment campaigns and help improve how we use CRM, AI tools and our workforce-management platform.

How We use AI to run the business

1. Workline is a traditional manpower business run in a modern way. You will learn to use AI as a business operator — to do in 30 minutes what used to take 3 hours. You are not being hired as a developer; you will use these tools to do real business work faster and better:

2. Lead research: building target lists of industrial companies using AI-assisted research across Google Maps, IndiaMART, LinkedIn and industrial estate directories

3. Outreach at scale: drafting and personalising first-call scripts, WhatsApp follow-ups and email introductions for different client types

4. Recruitment marketing: writing job-ad copy and creatives for our Meta (Facebook/Instagram) hiring campaigns, including Hindi variants for worker audiences

5. Candidate screening: structuring applicant information and preparing sharp screening questions before calls

6. Follow-up discipline: summarising call notes, tracking commitments, and preparing daily/weekly progress reports

7. Data operations: cleaning and organising lead and attendance data in Google Sheets/CRM so decisions are based on clean numbers

8. Playbooks: converting founder know-how into written SOPs the whole team can reuse
