Position description:

LeadSquared is looking for a hands-on Software Engineer to join our Reporting Team. You will design, build, and maintain reporting systems and data pipelines that power critical business insights across the organization. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer with robust SQL fundamentals and hands-on experience with MySQL to grow across multiple database technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain reporting applications, dashboards, and data pipelines
• Write complex, optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for large-scale reporting needs
• Work extensively with MySQL for schema design, query tuning, indexing, and performance optimization
• Integrate and work with other databases/data stores (e.G., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redshift, Snowflake) as required
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and dashboards
• Monitor and troubleshoot production reporting systems, resolving performance bottlenecks and data issues
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to engineering best practices
• Automate recurring reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve turnaround time
• Document database schemas, data flows, and reporting logic for maintainability

Educational qualifications preferred

• Field specialization: Computer Science / Engineering (or related field)
• Degree: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience)

Required work experience

• Role: Software Engineer (Reporting / Data)
• Years of experience: 0.5 2 years

Required Knowledge:

MySQL (schema design, query optimization, indexing), relational database concepts, data modeling (normalization, star/snowflake schemas) and basic expos .
