Instrumentation and Control Engineer

About the job:Key responsibilities:

1. Develop and configure SCADA applications, including screens, alarms, trends, historian tags and reports.

2. Write basic Python scripts for data handling, protocol testing, log parsing and small automation tasks.

3. Configure and test OPC servers and clients, and sort out communication problems (polling, timeouts, data quality, register mapping).

4. Set up communication between PLCs, SCADA and plant equipment (inverters, meters, relays, RTUs, weather stations) over Modbus TCP/RTU and OPC DA/UA.

5. Take part in plant commissioning, including site surveys, loop checks, I/O testing, FAT/SAT support and handover.

6. Program, configure and troubleshoot ABB and Siemens PLCs (S7-1200/1500 using TIA Portal, ABB AC500 or similar).

7. Coordinate with site teams, OEM vendors and customers during installation, commissioning and issue resolution.

8.
