Procurement Executive

About the job:Key responsibilities:

1. Source mechanical, electrical, fabricated, and general engineering components required for Cosy's products.

2. Identify and develop new manufacturers, fabricators, and suppliers.

3. Float RFQs, collect quotations, and compare vendors on cost, quality, lead time, and capability.

4. Negotiate pricing, MOQ, payment terms and delivery timelines.

5. Work closely with the engineering team to understand drawings, specifications, and material requirements.

6. Source custom components including sheet metal parts, machined parts, plastics, enclosures, hardware and assemblies.

7. Follow up with vendors from enquiry and order placement through production and final delivery.

8. Maintain quotation comparisons, purchase records, vendor databases, and order trackers.

9. Develop alternate vendors for critical components and reduce single-vendor dependency.

10. Coordinate quality issues, replacements and corrective actions with suppliers.

11. Visit suppliers and manufacturing facilities when required.

12. Exposure to sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding, plastics, or engineering components is strongly preferred.4. Comfortable understanding basic engineering drawings and specifications.5. Strong negotiation and vendor follow-up skills.6. Good working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.7. Comfortable visiting suppliers across Mumbai and nearby industrial areas.8. Candidates from manufacturing companies, engineering startups, machine builders, or OEM environments will be preferred.9.
