An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft and its components. They ensure that aircraft meet safety standards and aviation regulations before flight operations. AMEs play a critical role in passenger safety and aircraft performance.Key Responsibilities1. Aircraft InspectionPerform routine and scheduled inspections of aircraft systems and components.Examine engines, landing gear, hydraulic systems, avionics, and airframes.Identify mechanical or technical faults and safety issues.2. Maintenance & RepairsCarry out preventive and corrective maintenance on aircraft.Repair or replace damaged aircraft parts and systems.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics problems.3. Testing & TroubleshootingConduct operational and functional tests after maintenance.Diagnose system failures using specialized tools and equipment.Ensure proper functioning of aircraft engines and instruments.4. Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate maintenance records and technical logs.Prepare inspection and repair reports.Ensure compliance with aviation authority regulations.5. Safety ComplianceFollow aviation safety standards and maintenance procedures.Ensure aircraft meets regulatory requirements before release.Adhere to workplace safety and quality standards.6.
