Position: IBDP Spanish Teacher Ab Initio & B SL

Employment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and passionate IBDP Spanish Teacher to join our International Curriculum team.The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Spanish Ab Initio and Spanish B SL within the IBDP, supporting students across different levels of language proficiency and helping them develop strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and confidence in using Spanish.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, structured, and differentiated lessons for IBDP Spanish Ab Initio and Spanish B SL.Develop students listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish.Build students vocabulary, grammatical accuracy, fluency, and confidence in communication.Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the different learning needs of Ab Initio and B SL learners.Develop students intercultural understanding through authentic Spanish-language resources and exposure to Spanish-speaking cultures.Prepare students effectively for IBDP internal and external assessments.Provide regular, constructive feedback and monitor individual student progress.Support students in developing the skills required across the relevant IBDP assessment components.Develop lesson plans, teaching resources, assessments, and learning activities aligned with IB expectations.Use formative and summative assessment to identify learning gaps and implement appropriate interventions.Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessment, and academic performance.Collaborate with the Languages Department and other IB faculty members to ensure effective curriculum planning and delivery.Participate in parent meetings, student conferences, school events, professional development programmes, and other academic activities as required.Stay updated with developments in the IBDP Spanish curriculum, assessment framework, and language-acquisition pedagogy.Required Qualifications & ExperienceMasters degree in Spanish or an equivalent qualification is preferred.C1 or C2 level Spanish certification/proficiency or equivalent demonstrated language proficiency is required.Minimum 2 batches of in-school IBDP teaching experience is required.Experience teaching IBDP Spanish B SL and/or Spanish Ab Initio.Strong understanding of the IBDP curriculum, assessment framework, and language acquisition requirements.Excellent command of spoken and written Spanish.Strong English communication skills.Prior experience preparing students for IBDP assessmeWho can apply:Only those candidates can apply who:have minimum 5 years of experienceSalary:Competitive salaryExperience:5 year(s)Deadline:[hidden]:59:59Skills required:TeachingOther Requirements:Min Education: Masters/Post-Graduation
