This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy owning automation strategy, designing robust test frameworks, and mentoring team members while remaining hands-on.You will work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java and SeleniumPerform API automation testing using Rest AssuredCreate and execute automated and manual test cases, test scripts, and test plansPrepare and maintain Traceability Matrix (RTM) and test documentationApply BDD frameworks (Cucumber or similar) for automation scenariosExecute database validations using SQL queriesLead and mentor a medium-sized QA team while remaining hands-onContribute to automation strategy, test design techniques, and best practicesParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate across onsite–offshore teamsTrack defects and test execution using tools like ALM and JIRAMust-Have Skills5+ years of experience in Automation Testing / SDET rolesStrong hands-on expertise in Java and SeleniumIn-depth understanding of Core Java concepts:OOP principlesCollections FrameworkException HandlingHands-on experience with API automation (Rest Assured)Strong SQL skills for backend data validationExperience working with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, etc.)Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processesLeadership & Collaboration SkillsAbility to work independently and take ownership of deliverablesExperience leading and mentoring a QA teamComfortable working in an onsite–offshore delivery modelStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsGood to HaveExperience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle)Exposure to cloud-based testing or microservices architecturesDomain experience in BFSI, Telecom, or Retail (preferred but not mandatory)
