ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking motivation and hands on Production Engineer to support shop floor manufacturing operations, ensure achievement of production targets, and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. The role focuses on machine setup optimization, operator training, continuous improvement initiatives, and close coordination with supervisors to drive operational excellence. The Production Engineer will play a key role in minimizing downtime, improving process efficiency, and supporting customer quality requirements through structured problem solving and lean manufacturing practices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To look after the assigned production functions. To ensure that desired production levels are achieved every month. To ensure that requisite quality standards as well as 5-S and 3-C standards are adhered to. To ascertain and ensure that efficiency of machinery and employees working under you is constantly monitored and adequate remedial measures as desired by your Superiors are taken to improve upon the same. To ensure that monthly machine loading schedule is prepared as per planning and the same is adhered to on a day-to-day basis. To take corrective measures to reduce scrap and rejection levels. Resolve any problems arising from any of the issues related to employees, machinery breakdown or production process. Complete PSIF, Near Miss monthly targets. Multi-skilling of operators & de bottlenecking of the bottleneck processes. Corrective actions to resolve customer issues. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Educational Qualification: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Production. Experience: 5–10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing / production environment (preferred). Experience in machine setups, tooling, process improvement, and shop floor operations. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machine operations Hands on experience with continuous improvement tools (5S, Kaizen, Kanban) Ability to troubleshoot machine and process issues Knowledge of quality systems and basic problem-solving techniques Good communication and training skills Ability to work closely with supervisors, operators, and cross functional teams Proactive, detail oriented, and result focused Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment Highly organized, hands-on and detail oriented Ability to recognize improvement opportunities and execute Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint We don’t want average.
