AI Agents and Automation Engineer

This is a full-time role.

We’re looking for a hands-on AI Agents and Automation Engineer to work directly with our founder at The Double. You should actively build with AI, stay updated on new technology, and turn ideas into working solutions.

What you’ll do

• Build, test, and deploy AI agents and automated workflows.
• Read and understand existing code, make changes, debug issues, and push code through Git and GitHub.
• Connect agents with APIs, tools, databases, and business applications.
• Take projects from an initial idea to a working implementation.
• Explore new AI tools and models, and demonstrate practical uses for the team.

Skills we’re looking for

• Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, branches, commits, and pull requests.
• Ability to navigate an existing codebase and contribute independently.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, tool calling, and agentic workflows.
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants, agent frameworks, and automation platforms.
• Strong debugging skills, ownership, and curiosity about emerging technology.
