Job Description

Dabur India Limited is seeking an experienced and technically competent Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at its manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and reliable functioning of production machinery, plant equipment, utilities, and facility systems.

The role requires strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and team supervision, with a focus on minimizing equipment downtime and improving machine reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities of production machinery and plant equipment.

Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules.

Attend equipment breakdowns and ensure timely troubleshooting and restoration.

Supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, fitters, and contract manpower.

Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to minimize machine downtime.

Monitor equipment performance, breakdown frequency, MTBF and MTTR.

Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures.

Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown reports, inspection records, and work orders.

Ensure proper functioning of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and utility systems.

Monitor availability and consumption of critical spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials.

Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Production, Quality, and EHS departments.

Support equipment installation, commissioning, modification, and maintenance improvement projects.

Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, EHS, electrical safety, and company maintenance procedures.

Supervise external contractors and service agencies when required.

Identify opportunities for reducing maintenance costs, energy consumption, equipment downtime, and recurring failures.

Train and guide maintenance staff in safe and efficient maintenance practices.

Candidate Profile

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.

Relevant experience in plant maintenance, preferably in FMCG, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industries.

Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance and industrial equipment.

Strong troubleshooting, team-management, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of safety procedures, GMP, maintenance documentation, and CMMS will be an advantage.
