The role monitors trauma and burn registry data for regulatory compliance, performs statistical and analytical reporting, supports research and quality improvement initiatives, and coordinates data requests and verification activities.ResponsibilitiesData Analyst: Analyze data for reputed company and compliance with outlined ACS/ABA and State requirements through routine extrapolation of trauma registry data elements relevant to the ACS/ABA and trauma leadership dashboardCoordinates and performs data analysis for Trauma Service Performance Improvement, Research/Grants, Injury Prevention, and administrative activitiesInterprets data, anticipates needs for additional data, and prepares high quality presentation graphs/reports. Ability to effectively present information to multiple disciplinesCoordinates all trauma database related responsibilities during a trauma center designation/verification visit. Includes participation in RFP preparation, chart selection, and chart preparationResearch Trauma Analyst: Maintain and coordinate a streamlined process for trauma/burn data report requests. Respond to data requests for research, internal, external, or compliance audits. Maintain an ACS/ABA dashboard for tracking and trending ACS/ABA metric compliance i.e., Non-Surgical Admits, Number of Exploratory Laparotomy and Screenings. Adhere to all regulatory requirements for release of information, HIPAA, and IRB research requests. Monitor and track information release of information and publications related to the trauma registry database. Prepare the data quality and use report for ACS/ABA site visitsMaintain and coordinate a streamlined process for trauma data report requestsRespond to data requests for research, internal, external, or compliance auditsConfer and work collaboratively with medical/hospital staff, HIM department, EMS services, referring facilities and other external data sources in compliance with iRESPECT standards and promoting patient/customer satisfaction to implement registry activitiesFunctions as a regional, state and national resource in the management of a trauma/burn database and also participates in collaborative State projects.
